Week 4: Exploring the Arts

Service Description

This week celebrates art in all its forms. Campers explore a variety of artistic styles, techniques, and inspirations while learning about both famous and local artists. Through mixed media projects, children experiment with drawing, designing, and inventing while expanding their art vocabulary and technical skills. Activities promote teamwork, creative expression, and critical thinking. This weeks field trips and hands-on experiences connect classroom creativity with the larger arts community, helping campers understand how art exists all around them. FIELD TRIP: Campers visit Imagination Stage, a children’s theater and arts education center, to experience the performing arts in a creative, age-appropriate environment. This field trip introduces children to storytelling, movement, and artistic expression beyond visual art. Campers explore how ideas, emotions, and stories can be shared through performance, design, and collaboration. The experience supports creativity, communication, and teamwork while expanding campers’ understanding of the many forms art can take.
